In April 2023, The Peace Department held its second annual Together for Peace (T4P) initiative. This global program empowered hundreds of communities worldwide to collaborate on projects that fostered peacebuilding, environmental stewardship, and a sense of global community. Participants engaged in activities like learning, planting, cleaning, and praying, all united in their work for peace and a sustainable future.
As an official partner of EarthDay.Org, T4P 2023 included activations across five countries, with 17 projects specifically focused on Earth Day. These projects ranged from community gardens and tree plantings to beach clean-ups and climate education events. The Peace Department further supported these efforts by issuing micro-grants to organizations in three countries, fostering intergenerational collaboration and catalyzing unity across continents.
