The Peace Department played a key role in the inaugural Nobel Prize Summit in April 2021. Partnering with the National Academy of Sciences, they hosted a panel titled “Critical Pathway: Implementing Comprehensive Design Models for People and Planet.” This discussion focused on how to effectively implement the many solutions developed by Nobel laureates and their partners to address global challenges. The emphasis was on achieving timely, coordinated, and well-funded deployment of these solutions.
Building on the success of the Summit, The Peace Department continued the conversation later in 2021 with a panel co-hosted with the National Academy of Sciences. This follow-up session explored the theme of “Operationalizing Sustainable Development,” focusing on how to turn these solutions into action for a sustainable future.
